Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Storeperson to join their afternoon shift team in Bibra Lake. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market leader in the steel industry, with genuine temp-to-permanent opportunities available for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will be responsible for operating counterbalance forklifts while assisting with general warehouse duties in a busy steel and aluminium distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate counterbalance forklifts (2.8T to 3T) to load and unload trucks.
  • Handle steel and aluminium sheets, plates, coils, bars, tubes, and extrusions.
  • Pick and pack orders using RF scanners.
  • Store and retrieve stock from warehouse racking systems.

Training & Development Opportunities

Successful candidates may receive training in:

  • Overhead crane operations.
  • Loading and moving large steel sheets and coils.
  • Operating machinery used to cut steel products to customer specifications.
  • High reach forklift and side loader operations (highly regarded but not essential).

What We're Looking For

  • Current LF Forklift Licence.
  • Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
